Large country park with great variety of trees and lovely pond. Paths are well maintained but not very well signposted! Free parking and little cafe
Situated just outside Camborne, this place is ideal for walking or cycling. If has many different walks and cycle /horse trails ranging from the easy - a half hour stroll around the lakes - to the more strenuous - I did the oak woods trek which is about 2 miles. There's also a cafe serving hot drinks and a selection of hot food. Most of the walks are dog friendly, the only one not so is around the lakes due to the wildlife there.
Beautiful place to walk with the family. Areas can get busy though and parking can be an issue. Luckily the woods are large enough so you can find a quiet spot to sit and eat or just take in the serenity. There's a small cafe near the car park, a nature walk (that is closed off for dogs) filled with very tame squirrels. If you take some peanuts they will happily come and take them from your hand!
Love this place. I've got two toddlers and they absolutely love toddling through the trees. Well worth a try and always kept clean and tidy.
Lots of made up paths, plenty of squirrels birds ducks and swans all hungry so take plenty of food for them, squirrels will eat out of your hand if you are quiet Don't forget to wash your hands after or better still take wet wipes , please bin yourRubbish or take it home, it's best to keep it tidy for other people. Enjoy it.
